Brilliant advertising

So I was reading the phone book today and came across this helpful ad:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
HOW TO CHOOSE A
BIRTHDAY CARD
if you can't read.
Have the clerk point you to the right section.
*
Look for a picture of a cake.
*
Say you forgot your glasses
and have someone read you the verse.
*
Hope you haven't chosen an anniversary card.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This yellowpage ad measures 1 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches and is followed by an 877# to call if you have interest in becoming a volunteer for LVA (Literacy Volunteers of America.)
*
I found the ad helpful, but I feel sorry for the illiterate people who for some reason pick up a phone book in search of some help with picking out an appropriate greeting card and finally get to the "V" section of the yellow pages when they somehow discover the ad they've been searching for, only to end their quest in frustration with the original reason their search began in the first place.
